So who is going to use our app?

Following on from our last post we also got thinking about who would be using our app so we created three personas and also mapped out a general idea of how the user would use our app!

Our first persona is Isabella a 22 year old Design student from Sweden, who is studying abroad in York.

Isabella wants to meet people, go out and have a good time while she is in the city. She wants to eat and drink good stuff but also save as much money as possible. Isabella is also an avid user of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and updates her social media accounts frequently using her smart phone.

Our second persona is Karl as 25 year old architect, originally from Liverpool Karl has recently moved to York for a few months for work. 
Therefore Karl is alone in York with a want to know the city and its people, he needs to find good places to eat and have a night out some times. However he likes to be money savvy and tends to spend a lot of time searching for discounts and offers.

Like Isabella, Karl uses a smartphone and has accounts with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and enjoys sharing everything he does across his social media accounts!



Our third and final persona is Alice, a 19 year old Marketing Management student at York Saint John University. Alice is a friendly girl and loves meeting new people and also  likes going out and knows a lot of good places in the city to eat and have a drink. Her friends and family like to refer to as an expert on nightlife places.

     Alice is also the owner of a smartphone and accounts on both Facebook and Instagram.

So how would our three personas and other users use our app?

Our potential consumers are millennials therefore their main objective is to save money, so our app is helpful for them due to the partnerships we have with local brands that allow us to offer discounts in great places.

Our consumers also want to meet people and places of interest, which is possible by using ‘Inside The Walls’. 
We are also a community, so everybody can share relevant information to find great places and get in touch with other travel persons or local people. 

Most importantly there will always be someone who can help to find the best place in accordance to everyone needs.

Finally Inside the Walls provides simple map directions perfect for those who struggle with directions or are unable to ask strangers for help due to various anxieties, so you can find where you want to be easily and stress free!
